CLOSE OP THE SITTINGS. [BY TELKaEAPH.] Wellington, Thursday. The Munioipal Conference delegates were entertained at luncheon to-day at Day's Bay by the Mayor and City Counoillors of Wellington. The Conference held its final Bitting tonight, when it was deoided to wait upon the Premier to recommend to his notice the resolutions of the Conference. The Mayors of Dunedin, Chrißtohurch, Auckland, and Nelson were eleoted vicepresidents of the Association, and the following were eleoted to the exeoutive committee : — Mayors of Petone, Melroso, Lower Hutt, Falmeraton, and Karori, and Councillor Smith (Wellington). A resolution was carried approving of the Fire Brigades Bill introduced into the Houbb. It was recommended that the Shop Hours Act be altered to allow seaside resorts to have a day other than that chosen by the main centres for the weekly half-holiday.
