PROJECTED DEPARTURES.
Zealandia, s.s., for Northern ports and Sydney, to-day. Waihora, s.b., for Southern ports, July 21st. J The s.s. Weka arrived from Gisborne yesterday afternoon, and immediately commenced to load timber again for Gisborne, for whioh place she leaves tonight. The a.B. Fanny, with the lighter Agnes Martin in tow, arrived at Gisborne at 11.15 a.m. yesterday. Huddart, Parker and Co.'s s.s. Zealandia ia due from Wellington and South this forenoon, and leaves for Northern ports and Sydnej at 5 p.m. The Union Company's s.s. Waihora, from Northern ports and Sydney, is dne early to-morrow morning, and is advertised to leave for Wellington and Sonth at noon. Bad bar and heavy sea was the report from Wairoa yesterday, so the Tangaroa's departure has been postponed. The Tyser Company's s.s. Star of Australia is due from London, via Auckland ' and Gisborne, next Thursday. The steam trawler Savau, whioh left here for Ficton to engage in the fishing, arrived at the latter port at 12,15 p.m. yesterday. The North German Lloyd Company have contracted with the Vulcan Shipbuilding Company, Stettin, to build a vessel' of 762 ft long (48ft longer than the Oeanio, the present longest ship afloat),* with engines of 40,000 horse power, capable of developing a speed of 24 knots an hour. The vessel is to be completed within two years, and will run between Qneenstown and Sandy Hook, whioh passage she is to accomplish within five days. The barque Martha Fisher, well known in the colonies, has been posted as missing at Lloyd's. She left Liverpool on December 22nd, 1899, with a cargo of coal for Para, and has not since been heard of.
