SEVERE FIG STING. ENEMY REPULSED. NEW ZEALANDERS TAKE PART. LIEUTENANT FINDLAY WOUNDED. THE CASUALTIES. Received July 20, 1 a.m. London, July 19. The Eoyal Irish Bifles, West Ans tralians, and Vaoghan's New Zealanders on Monday gallantly repulsed the enemy, who made repeated and determined attacks on General Pole-Carew's position near Pretoria. The Boers' losses were 15 killed and 60 wounded, and four were captured. Seven were killed in General PoleCarew's engagement, including Lieutenant Barden, son of a Canadian Minister. He was twice mentioned in despatches for his intrepidity. Lieutenant Findlay, of Hew Zealand, was severely wounded. Captain L. Bourne and Lieutenant Cameron, New Zealanders, are missing. Twenty of the Irish Rifles and others are missing. Twenty-sis were wounded.
