The report of an interview with Mr Cecil Ehodeß has been published. According to this the South African statesman has in view the correlation of the Soudan expedition with his scheme for a BYBtem of telegraphic communication across Africa. He expresses the opinion that Sir Herbert Kitchener and his forces will enter Khartoum as victors in October next, and that within five years from that date the African continental system of telegraphs will have been completed.
