A large number of visltois are already here, and with other expoeted atrivslaj tha hotel accommodation will bo taxed to its utmost limit. Apropos of hotels and of my observations yeatorday respecting the natlvea, Gt one hotel two of tho largest rooms were generously placed at the disposal of the native?, os they had no other placo to go to, end here a very \ larga numbor were housed for the night. The ever-popular Pollard Company are to be with us for a week, starting with "Paul Jouea" on Monday night. Mr Tom Pollard haa always been a favorite in Hastings, and received the moot welcome, to him, of appreciations, crowded houses. This perhaps is the reason for his putting up & record engagement of the theatre. The booking for the first night's performance is extremely good. Whilst on the subject of tho theatre : That building is to ba Bold on Tuesday ut 2 o'clock by Mr Aleck Latin. If it fetches anything like a reasonable) amount, the shareholders, the majority of whona have moat apathetically allowed a'finabui'ding to slip through their fingers, may yet rt« C6lva a dividend— say of a few coppers iv the pound. There aro three or four Klchmonds in the field anxious to accomplish a purchase. Early in August we may expect anothar fashionable wedding.
