[KEOM OUR OWN COEEKSPONDENT. June VI, 1895. A little three-year-old boy of Mr George Lands had a very narrow escape from death yesterday afternoon, A carter wos delivering a mangle ab Mr Land's residence, and having backed his cart to the footpath, undid tho tail. board, heedless of the fact that tho mangle was on castors. No sooner had be done so than tho machine at once ran oft the cart, striking a little boy on the face, knocking open the gate, which apparently threw the child partially away from the danger, but not sufficiently tar to save serious damage to hla foot, the machine becoming tJtally useless. This ahonld ba a serious warning to carters to be extremely careful as to the nature of their load.
