Mr 'Lennox Canning writes from the Junior Traveller's Clvb :— The following prices are the last quotations on the Natal markets ;— Bananas, Gd. per hundred ; bacoD, 4d. per lb. ; vegetable marrows, Is. per dozen ; oranges, 2j. per' hundred ; pumpkins Is. par dozen ; rabbits and fowls, Od. and Is. each ; tobaoco, sd. per lb. ; potatoes, Bs. per bag °f 200 lbs. I am aware in. the larger, markets, like Kimberloy, Cape Town, and Bloomfonteiu, the prices vary, and have an upward tendency, but in most of the inland villages the prices I quote have been ruling for a considerable period.
