London, April 22. The Porte supports Nubar Pasha in his action in suppressing the Bosphore Egyptienne. The rebellion in the north-west of Canada still continues, and the Indians have succeeded in capturing Fort Pitt, The reports on the recent attack by General Komaroff, furnished by Sir Peter Lumaden, completely travewe those supplied by General Komaroff, and show that the fighting which took place was forced by General Komaroff. The Marquis of Salisbury, speaking at Wrexham, urged the Government to reaiit Russian aggression^ in Afghanistan. Persistent reports are in circulation to the effect that the Powers will endeavor to compel Turkey to maintain strict neu« trality in the event of war breaking out. The Standard states that the Government have re-demanded from the Russian Government a disavowal of General Komaroff's action. General Lord Wolseley will return to England.

Further explosions, supposed to have been caused by dynamite, occurred at Whitehall this afternoon. The scene of the outrage was the office of the Undersecretary to the Admiralty, Mr E. N. Swainson. The explosion was of an alarming nature, and Mr Swainson, wbo - was in the office at the time, sustained 'l very severe injuries. The police are actively engaged in a search for the perpetrators. (Received April 25, 2.40 a.in.) April 24. The Colonial Federation Enabling Bill was road a second time in the House of Lords laet night. The Daily Netos this morning, in a leading article on the Afghan question, aays that the only hope of peace that is possible is in tho conclusion of an agreement delimiting the frontier Jino of Afghanistan, and adds that the negoVtiation3 now in progress to that end are ; not of a hopeless nature. In the House of Commons last night the Home Secretary, Sir William Vernon Haroourt. stated, with reference to the explosion at the Admiralty, that although a considerable quantity of dynamite had been placed in Mr Swainson's room only slight damage had occurred to the structure.
