Mail close for the undermentioned places : — For Wairoa, per p.s. Maunia, this day, at 7 a.m. For Gisborne, per s.s. Kiwi, this day, at 3 p.m. For Gisborne and Auckland, per s.s. Rotomahana, on Saturday, at 3 p.m. The s.s. Uowen leaves Wellington on Saturday, the 15th inst., for Hong Ko ig. For Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, on Saturday, 15th inst , at 2 p.m. Money orders and registered letters will close on Saturday, 15th inst., at 12 noon. Book packets and newspapers will close on Saturday, at 1 p.m. For Wellington, Southern ports, and Melbourne, per s.s. Rotorua, on Saturday, at 8 p.m. The Omauti leaves Lyttelton for the Chatham Islands on Tuesday, the 18th inst. Correspondence for the United Kingdom intended to be sent por Orient steamers should be speoially so addressed. Only correspondence so addressed will be sent by this route for the present, the postage will be the same as via Naples, viz., Sd per halfotmce. J. GRUBB. Chief Postmaster.
