, ; " . , \ Wellingtgn, Friday. The Premier refuses to assent to calling Parliament together soaner than May, but will -undertake to hold the elections in November. Mr Montgomery will move en going: into Committee of Supply that Parliament be called ne t later than April 15th, arid that the elections take place in November. Bills are going through wholesale without consideration. Allfthe Hawke's Bay members leave by the Ringarooroa this afternoon, the session being practically over. The Private Petitions Committee have recommended to the favorable consideration of the Government the petition of the Woodville settlers, presented by Mr Ormondj for a bridge over the Manawatu river near Palmerston, but the Premier refuses to bring down a vote for the work. It is understood that Mr Ormond and Captain Russell have arranged .for the early prosecution of the works on the Napier railway line, and that both the Matamou and Tahoraite sections are to be proceeded with.
