The return match between the Napier Engineer Volunteers and the Gisborne Artillery Company was fired off on Saturday. The shooting of the first four on the list is very creditable ; particularly that of Sergeant King. By a singular coincidence the score made last Saturday by the Engineer team is exactly the same as that made in tho first match with the Gisborne Artillery by the same corps. The total score this time would undoubtedly have been larger, but that three of the best shots of the Engineers wero away. Appended are the scores of the local team : —

Total 417 The Gisborne Artillery scored 453, thus winning the match by 3G points. The highest scores wore : — Skeefc, 51 ; Taylor, 48.
