A fire b,roke out yesterday niorning on fclie premise's of Mr H. F. Bench, Port Chalmers. The building and furniture were totally destroyed, and the inmates had a narrow escape. The insurances are £200,0n $c furniture. £ZOO on the building* in the Union Ofnce. The loss is estimated at £150. The holder of a mortgage on the property had another : insurance of £600 in the New Zealand.
