NAPIER THEATRE COMPANY.
Sir, —A local appeared in the Telegraiptfs issue of the 9th instant to the effect that I had requested that paper to state in " explanation " certain matters having reference to the Napier Theatre Company, especially as regards a transaction with the solicitor engaged for the company. 1 certainly deny having made any such request. The explanation given by the editor in the Telegraph's paper of the previous evening was I considered sufficient, until I obtain "Country Shareholder's " signature. , As before stated, I shall be happy to answer "Oountiry Shareholder" when he subscribes v his name. —l am, &.c, , E.
