May 2 — Eliezer, schooner, 52 tons, W. Kean, from Auckland, with 6 dozen spades, 7 stoves, 1 cask and 1 case hardware, 1 bundle forks, 4 kegs nails, 3 grindstones, 2 crates and 1 case chairs, 1 crate earthenware, 3 trunks shoes, 4 boxes candles, 1 bag blue stone, 4 drums oil, 61 bags sugar, 1 case saddlery, 24 pckgs. sundries. Passengers, — Mr. and Master Reed. May 2 — Christina, schooner, 32 tons, for Wellington, with 112 bushels barley. May 2 — Storm Bird, s.s., 107 tons, Malcolm, for Wellington, with 61 bales (20,062 lbs.) wool, and sundries. Passengers, — Captain and Mrs. Carlyon, and family, Captain Charlton, Messrs. Allmutt, J. H. Tautier, Lieshman, 1 constable and prisoners. May Star, schooner, 43 tons, Sullivan, for Auckland, with 100 bushels oats, 3 casks tallow, 2 pckgs merchandise. Passengers, — Messrs. Marshall, Richardson, Mrs. Donerty and daughter. The arrival of the fine steamer Storm Bird on the morning of Monday last, took the good folks of Napier completely by surprise. This vessel, as our readers are already aware, has just been purchased by the Wellington Steam Navigation Company, and she is well adapted for the passenger trade on the coast, being a commodious and comfortable ship. We trust that the Company will be able to make such arrangements as will permit her to make fortnightly trips between Wellington and Napier.
