NOTICE PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON. ELECTION OF ONE SIEMBEE OP THE HOTTSE OF REPBESENTATITES TOE THE WAIEABAPA AND HAWKE'S BAT DISTEICT. "TTTHEREAS a writ under the hand of his ExVV cellency Thomas Gore Brown, Companion of tLe Bath, Governor and Commander in Chief in and over the Colony of New Zealand &c, &c., bearing date the nineteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eigbt, and under the Public Seal of the said Colony of New Zealand, hath been directed to me, Walter Ogilvy Esq., Returning Officer for the Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay District, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely, and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, one legally qualified person to serve as member of the House of Representatives for the Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay District. Now Theeefoee, I the said Walter Ogilvy, Returning Officer for the Warrarapa and Hawke's Bay District, do hereby in pursuance of the said Recited Writ, give notice, that a meeting of the electors of the Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay District will be holden at the residence of Mr. Groves, Licensed Victualler, Castle Point, on Thttesday, the twenty-second day of July, instant, at iroON,. for the purpose of nominating one person to serve as member of the House of Representatives for this District ; aud in the event of a Poll being demanded for the Candidates, or any of them, Buch Polling- shall take place on Thtjesday the twenty-ninth day of Jttly, instant, at the residence of Mr. Groves, Castle Point, aforesaid, and at the sevei'al Polling places throughout j the said District, the voting to commence at any time after nine o'clock of the said day and to close at four o'clock in the afternoon of the said day.
