AIR RAID EXERCISES.
SQUADRONS INTERCEPTED

An ofFicial communique on last night’s air exercises shows London is net so vulnerable as unofficial comment has ied many to think. The fighters can be said to have inflicted very heavy casualties among the. attacking force last evening. Eight squadrons of (bombers carried out raids, and only one full squadron completely evaded the defending fighters. During the night phase thirty raids were carried out. Eleven of these were intercepted. In the early morning a concentrated attack on London targets was made by eight squadrons, seven being intercepted.
