SEVERE SENTENCES

Severe sentences were imposed on two Catholic priests at Berlin on Monday for violating foreign exchange regulations. Father Ut-sch was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment and fined £6250. Father Wilmsen was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and fined £1660. Herr Frick has issued a decree prohibiting Catholic Youth organisations from wearing uniforms and badges, parading with flags or performing open-air exercises.
“Catholic Youth organisations recently transgressed tho limits sot by the Government,” says the decree. “The Government will no longer tolerate this practice, which endangers public order and safety.”
