In the All-Australia hockey • tournament to-day New South Wales avenged last week’s defeat at Sydney by defeating New Zealand by four goals to one. It was New Zealand’s fiirst match in the Tournament. New South Wales showed superior tactics, particularly in the manner in which they countered the vigorous speed of Miss McKenzie, the New Zealand insido forward. The strength pf the New South Wales backs gave the New Zealand forwards, no chance to display their usual strong combination. The half-time score was 3—o. Miss Dahlberg scored for New Zealand. The, New Zealand team was: Mrs. A. O’Connor, Misses M. Guclsell, .W. Woolley, M. McKenzie, M. Sanson, A. Mackie, E. Savillc, I. Dahlberg, M. Cotter and A. McDonald, and Mrs. H. Reid. Victoria beat South Australia 4—2.
