HUSBAND 91; AVIFE 73. KNEW EACH OTHER 50 YEARS AGO. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, July 23. The marriage of AVilliam Proctor Howell, aged 91 years, and Mrs Christina Lawson, aged 73 years, took place to-day. Air Howell lived at Dunedin in 1857 and worked there land at Oamaru and on the Central Otago goldfields for many years. Airs Howell’s ■husband and .two sons, one aged 10 years and the other 13 years, were drowned in a wreck near Auckland. The old couple knew each other at Dunedin more than 50 years ago, hut their ways parted and they did notcome together again till they met at Ashburton several years ago.
