During the past few weeks much distress has been caused to relatives by the removal of flowers from graves at the Hawera cemetery. At first it was thought that children were responsible but the blooms have been taken with such consistency that it is to be considered the work of some adult person or persons who make a regular practice of visiting the grounds for the flowers that are to be obtained by the simple expedient of lifting them from the vases. A serious view is taken of the thefts and offenders are likely to receive little consideration if caught i in the act. I
