FIRST PROSECUTION OF KIND.
ACTED AS MANAGER.

The first prosecution in the Dominion under section 149 of the Companies’ Act was heard before Mr Miller, S.M., when H. W. N. Shaw was charged with acting as manager of the -Napier-Gisborne-Palmerston North Rubber Company while an undischarged bankrupt. Fines totalling £ls were inflicted.
