Flag “500” Social
The fortnightly flag “500” evening was held' in the Mokoia Hall on Friday, there being a large attendance. Ihe prize-winning table was occupied by 3liss J. Lander, Miss L. Wool ridge, Mr T. Hey and Mr G. Lander, while the special prizes for those .carrying most flags went to Mr T. Hey and Mrs J. McKay. Music for the dance was supplied by Mr R. Wills. A dance arranged by the hall committee during the week was also a success, there being many visitors present. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr J. Johnston and partner.
Surprise visits were paid to the homes of Mr and Sirs G. Prowse and Mr and Mrs R. Rawson, Mokoia, during the week. After supper on Monday, Mr G. Milne expressed the wishes of those present that Mr and Mrs Rawson would spend a happy future in the district. Mr Rawson responded. A similar party visited Mr and Mrs G. Prowse on- Wednesday. Games and cards were the order of the evening. Mr L. F. Bell, in extending a welcome to the couple, assured them of a pleasant time in Mokoia and hoped they would remain long. Mr and Mrs Prowse both responded.
