MRS. STAMMERS IN FORM,

(British Official Wireless.) Received 2 p.m. to-day. RUGBY - , June 14. At the Kent tennis championships, in the women’s doubles semi-finals, Misses Andrus and Ilenrotin defeated Misses Dearman and Lyle, 6—4, 6—2. In the women’s semi-finals Mrs Stammers defeated iMrs Wills-Moody, 6—o, 6—4; Miss Round defeated Miss King, 6—3, 6—3. Mrs Stammers, who is ranked third in Britain, is the holder of the hardcourts championship. She was in great form against Mrs Helen WillsMoody, who was too slow and lacked her usual mechanical accuracy.
