Professor Piccard, whose ascents into the stratosphere have made history, was present at the South Kensington Museum to-day, Avhen the gondola in which he and Monsieur Max Cosyns reached a height of 10' miles in 1932 Avas presented to the museum in the presence of the Belgian Ambassador.
