WAGES CUT RESTORED

CITY COUNCIL EMPLOYEES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 13. Restoration of 5 per cent., the balance of the salaries anil -wages deduction at the time of the first 10 per cent, cut, to take effect from July 1, was agreed to by the Wellington City Council tonight. An amendment by Labour members -that the restoration should apply only to employees in receipt of £350 a year and under was lost, as was a further amendment that in the case of these employees the restoration should be retrospective to April 1.
