DAIRY FACTORY RAZED

DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT TOKO. A. fire broke out in the dairy factory at Toko early on Saturday morning, and as the result the factory was demolished. When discovered the fire had a strong hold and little could be done to check the flames. The factory was a branch, of the Stratford Co-operative Dairy Association and was a wooden building 3? years old, with a capacity of seven vats. The plant had been kept up to date, and as all was destroyed, together with nearly two tons of cheese, the loss was extensive. Insurances covered the building to the extent of £2250 and the plant £3400. The Stratford factory will deal with the supply from the farmers and_ t-bo question of rebuilding will be considered at an early meeting.
