WELLINGTON, March 11
On the ground of the Hutt Valley Gun Club on Saturday afternoon the North Island clay bird championship was won by W. McKee (Wanganui), with L. R. Davis '(Wanganui) runner-' up. Five competitors tied, the others in the shoot-off being J. Winiki (New Plymouth), 11. A. Quartermain (Wanganui), and G. E. Brotherton (Taumarunui), who w r ere placed third, fourth and .fifth respectively. The £SO handicap was shared by C. H. Tlowlett (.Hastings) and W. A. Thomson (Palmerston North), both of whom secured a possible.
