CJAIWHSON 1 BAND AND Al AOTH. CONCERT. On Sunday n t, .at the Opera House the ITnweia public will have the opportunity of hearing thoVVangarmi Garrison Band, which is making the trip to Hawera specially to provide an entertainment in aid of the On eon Carnival funds. The hand will he supported by «• Wanganui concert party, and patrons can look forward to a particularly good entertainment. The first all-Maori concert to be (riven in Hawera for many years will •he presented at the Opera House on Wednesday night in and of the Movie and Country candidates in the Queen On-nival. There will he 80 Maori performers. including the poi team led by Scotty Panemu. which won the championship at Wait-angi. Some good Maori solo artists are specially coming from Rotorua and Wanganui to assist in the most ambitious Maori entertainment that has been undertaken in . Hawera since the Borough Jubilee.
