MEETING AT ELTHAM

ELECTION OF OFFICERS

A meeting of the Rural Cricket Association, presided over by Mr. Bocock, was held on Tuesday night. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. R. J. Knuckey; president, Mr. E. Woodley; secretary, Mr. W. Boddie; executive committee, Messrs Death, Partridge, Harvey, Hughes, Prankherd, Skipper and Laird. The following resolutions were adopted: That Mata and Okaiawa be included in the draw. That play start at 12 noon, with a recommendation to start at 11 a.m. if possible A letter of thanks be forwarded to Mr. Primer (Normanby) for the cup which lie donated to be played for. That A and B teams be picked to meet North Taranaki A and B teams, with Mr. B. Hughes as sole selector. A levy of 2s 6d was fixed for payment bv each club. January 1 was agreed upon for the commencement of the competition.
