The proper Nazi feeling was not shown by the Berlin dogs mobilised to raise funds for winter unemployment relief, says the Berlin correspondent of “The 'l’inies.’ ’ The dogs marched down the middle of the Uniter...den Linden, preceded bv police, but they showed not the slightest sign of-the team spirit which should, exist-among .canine patriots. The .best “storm .trotters” strained at their leashes and forced tlieir way. from the. xanfeSK..... The dogs were, arranged according to their race, of which they seemed less conscious than their owners. Dachshunds and ,i\lsffti.ans insisted on rubbing shoulders with French poodles. The dachshunds 'proved bad marchers.' Elegant and fluffy dogs watched from the cars cf prominent actresses, while their less Nordic looking comrades trotted and waddled in pouring rain in the cause of patriotism.
