ULTIMATUM ACCEPTED. PALMERSTON ASSEMBLY OFF. (By Telegraph —Cresa Association). PALMERSTON N., Sept. 25. Advice has been received by the local committee which was arranging to hold the Dominion band contest here in February, that -the New Zealand Brass Bands Association has accepted the ultimatum on the matter of profit -sharing. This means that no contest will be held at Palmerston North.

The local committee states that the original conditions were that the association should receive ten per cent, of the profits up to £SO. Later the association sought £SO, plus ten per cent. The committee flatly refused to conduct the contest unless the original terms were adhered to. The association met at Wellington on Saturday, when jts decision was reached.
