Alan Bowes, a Canterbury representative Rugby player, collapsed at a dinner given after the match with South Canterbury for the Ranfurly Shield on Saturday and was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital. It is though that Bowes was injured jn a tackle, but the injuries will not he known until an X-ray examination has been made to-morrow. His condition is not serious.
