FOURTH-DAY OPENING. AUCKLAND BEATS WAIRARAPA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, Aug. 26. After heavy overnight rain the weather was brilliantly fine for the opening of the fourth day of the ladies’ hockey championship. With the grounds in good order this morning the game in the A section, between Auckland and Wairarapa B was won comfortably by Auckland, the score being 6 to nil. The scorers were the Misses A. Bishop and M. Rossiter (2).
