GRADING OF MILK

OPPOSITION TO CURD 1 TEST.

PROTEST BY FACTORIES.

CBy Telegraph—Press Association.! WOODVILLE, Aug. 25. Ninety representatives of the dairy factories in the Wairarapa, Busli and Southern Hawke’s Bay districts met at Woodville to-day to discuss- milkgrading regulations. " Strong criticism was levelled at the Dairy Division of the Agrcultural Department for its insistence on the curd test, which the meeting considered obsolete. The following resolution was passed: . . “Unanimously being of the opinion that the department is making a grave mistake in insisting on grading _by means of the curd test, the meeting, acting on the recommendation of scientists and the Bush and Wairarapa Factory Managers’ Associations, -demands an amendment to the regulations so that either the blue or microscopic tests may be used at the option of the Factories’ Association.”
