A conference oif woman’is organisations in the Wanganui district to-day protested against the failure of the Government to fulfil its promise to build an obstetrical training hospital in spite of recent intimation by the Minister of Finance that half a million sterling was to 'be .released for the erection of public buildings. The following motion was carried unanimously : “That as workers foa- and subscribers' to the obstetrical appeal fundi we would urge that if any public money is expended for building punposes' at this time a grant should be 'made for a maternity training hospital for the benefit of motherhood throughout the Dominion.”
