GAOL FOB. SIX MONTHS. SENTENCE ON SELLER. (By Tslegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCTT, May 26. Six months’ hard labour was the sentence on John Stephen McKegney, aged 30, a labourer, who was charged to-day with selling the 'paper “The IGd Worked’,’’ which incited lawlessness and expressed seditious intention. McKegney is already serving isix months following the recent tioul'le, and the sentence is to be cumulative. The magistrate, Mr. E. D. MuSicy, said the authorities should take action against the publisher and suppress the publication. i The prosecutor said that action uni already been taken. The publisher cf the paper had been fined and other measures were pending.
