ALL BLACKS FOR AUSTRALIA
WELLINGTON GAME PROPOSED. EVE OF THE TOUR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 25. The question of the New Zealand Rugby team playing a match against Wellington on the eve of its departure for Australia was discussed by the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night. The chairman said that Mr. W. J. Wallace, the 1905 All Black who had been appointed manager, and himself would be in Christchurch when the interisland match was played on June 3, and opportunity would be taken to ascertain if the players would be available to play a game against Wellington oil June 15.
The management committee last week appointed Mr. S. R. Murray to accompany the team as “baggageman.” Mr. Murray, who is one of the Poneke club’s most active supporters, lias been associated with (numerous rejp re sc illative teams as masseur.
