FREE EXCHANGE RESTRICTION
PRODUCE BOARD’S OPINION. FORMER REPORT AMENDED, A Press Association message from Wellington on Thursday stated that the Meat, Dairy and Fruit Board had met that dav to consider the exchange pool and that “great dissatisfaction was expressed by xlie boards that the Government had not taken tiro necessary steps to cancel the Order-in-Council and remove the restrictions that had been placed on free exchange.” A denial that such a meeting was held has been made by Mr. J. Hi he, a Taranaki member of the Dairy Board. The “Hawera Star” made inquiries in Wellington to-day and ascertained that there had not been a meeting of the boards. One of the members, in answer to questions, had voiced what h© believed to be the consensus of members’ opinions, but he had not intended to convey tlirw: the boards had held a conference on the sidrjPct.
