SITES FOR CHURCHES.

The various religious denominations have purchased sites for building churches at Manaia. Section 10, Block VI., was purchased by Mr. G. A. Wray for the Church of England at £ls; Section 4, Block VII., by the Rev. Father Grogan for tin* Roman Catholic Church at £10; Seed ion 12, Block VII., I»y .Mr. M. D. King for the Wesleyan Church at £l2; Section 12, Block X., by -Mr. J. Livingston for the .Presbyterian Church at £ls. All the sections were obtained at the upset, price. We understand that the amount required by- the Wesleyan denomination for the purchase of tho site was advanced by- Mr. T. Bayly, Waitara. Mr. Sutherland lias purchased a site for a manse, which, we understand, he intends handing over to the Presbvterian denomination.—“ Hawera and Normanby Star,” December MS. 1880.
