The Bay of Plenty Jockey Club’s annual meeting was held to-day. The weather was cool and showery, but there was a record attendance. The course was in the best possible condition. The first special passenger train trom Waihi to Tanranga brought about 703 passengers. The totalizator dealt with £14,112 10s, compared with £10,622 last year. This exceeds any previous amount.
