PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
INGLEWOOD’S NEW EDIFICE. DEDICATION CEREAIONY. On Thursday a function of extreme interest and importance to the Presbyterian Church in Taranaki was held, when the new church was dedicated. There was a large congregation, and the service was conducted by the moderator, Rev. J. W. McGregor (Stratford), assisted by Rev. R. E. Evans (Hawera), J. D. Wilson (New Plymouth), J. Rvhurn (Elt-ham), J. D. Smith (Manaia), and J. H. Boyd (Inglewood. Lessons appropriate to the occasion were read. and favourite hymns were sung. The sermon was most impressive, hased on a text from St. Paul’s Epistle to the Colossians: “And He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, _ the first born from the dead; that in all things He might have the pre-emin-ence.” The church is a handsome building of concrete in the Gothic style of architecture. It forms the nucleus of activities which will he a noteworthy addition to the life of the Presbyterians in the. Inglewood district.
