WELLINGTON RACING CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING.

WELLINGTON, Sept. IG. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Racing Club, the balance-sheet showed that £43,900 had been paid out in stakes and £49,289 in taxes. Interest totalled £8689. The total receipts were £95,842 of which .£61,197 came from totalisator, gates and railway £1849, fees from owners £9679.

The report mentioned that the. work on the new grandstands was still going on and power had now been secured for running the electric totalisator. Mr J. B. Hareourt was re-elected president.
