PATEA HOSPITAL BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING
There were present at the ordinary meeting of the Pa-tea Hospital Board yesterday, Messrs C. Honcyfield (chair), Watson,’ Seown, Johnston, Back, Waitkins, and Alexander. Leave of absence was granted to Mr Middleton.
REPORTS
' The medical superintendent reported that the number of patients remaining a't Julv ill was 25,'admitted 40, discharged 31, died two, reinainipg in institution at the end of the period 32, The matron reported as below: — July and August have been very busy months, 78 patients having been admitted for the two months. The isolation ward lias been full, but all cases arc doing well.
GENERAL
The Director-General of Health enclosed forms for capital expenditure in connection with proposed new laundry. A hearty vote ,of appreciation was passed to all who helped to make the hospital ball such a success. It resulted in a good credit balance.
