HAWERA PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING.
The monthly meeting' of the Haw era, branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday. There were present: Mesdames Winks (.chair), Pacev, Blair. Davy, Goodwin, Caplen, Prevberg, Bayly, Sellar, Jobson, Godfrey, Brodie and Miss King (secretary). Apologies were received (from Mesdames Tait, Haggett, A. Corrigan, and, Collins. , A conference of Plunket nurses will be held in Wanganui on October 9, at which Miss Pattrick will preside. The committee decided that Nurse Dix should attend. This will necessitate closing the Plunket rooms on that day. It was decided to hold the next shop day about the middle of November, Mesdames Brodie, Sellar, Goodwin and Davy being in .charge. The nurse’s report read as follows: New cases, mothers and babies, 49; visits to office, OSS; nurse’s visits to homes, 300. The following subscriptions Avere received: Mrs £1 Is, Miss Bn chanan Ids, Mrs A. Luseomb 10s, Mesdames J. Tiddy, W. V. Patterson, Smythe, E. P. Cox, C. L. Curtis. Dimock and Dymond 5s each; Mrs Hickey, Gs for the ear.
