CRUTCHINGS SALE,
VALUES IMPROVE,
(By Telegraph.—Special to The Star.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 34. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Wellington, reports: — The second crutchings sales of the season was held to-day, w-hon some 1700 bales wore offered by brokers. Buyers were in full attendance and competition was keen and animated, resultingin practically a total clearance. The crutchings were hardly in such a ligln condition as in the previous sale, but were somewhat finer in quality. In sympathy with the improved tone of the -market, values were from pax -to Id dearer for all grades of crutchings, and from Id to 2d for fleece and oddments.
