It is understood' that a settlement has been reached in the dispute between the management committee of the Auckland Football Association and the Referees’ Association. Mr Ernest Davis, president of the Football Association, acted as mediator. and the referees agreed to withdraw the paragraph in a letter to which objection was taken. No statement for publication was made after to-night’s conference, but it, is understood! that the referees agreed to resume duties.
