TO-DAY’S SITTING
CIVIL CLAIAIS PRESENTED
The fortnightly sitting of the Atagistrate’s Court at Hawera. opened this morning, Air J. S. Barton, S.M., presiding.
Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in each of the following nildefended civil cases: H. R. Kemp v. J. Teddy, alias Lee Tehing Foo, £5 6s 3d (costs £1 10s 6d); J. Kerrisk v. Atakie Wharewate, £5 os (£1 16s 6d); C. Mu-rch. v. J. AlcLachlan, £5 7s 8d (£1 10s 6d); R. Hannah and Co. v. Taki Williams, £3 ISs 3d (£1 16s 6d); L. I. Alar ter v. A. New. £2 4s 6d (£1 3s Gel); A. T. Main. v. L. Bishop, 12s (&S). In judgment summons proceedings, judgment, was given for plaintiff as fellows: E. N. Card ner v. P. Rasmussen, £6 9s lftd (costs 15s 6d), in default eight days’ imprisonment, warrant to he suspended if £2 is paid by September 1, £2 by* October 1, and the balance by November 1 : G. Clemoes v. F. Dodd, 12s 6d, in default one day’s imprisonment.
