WEDDING.
FRETHE Y—WHITING. A marriage in which much interest was taken was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Eltham, on the evening of May 28, when Lillian Eleanor, eldest daughter of Air and Airs A. G. Whiting, of Eltham, was married to Albert Roy Fret hey, _ of Wellington. The officiating minister was the Rev. G. Hunt. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn-tinted leaves and chrysanthemums. The ceremony was witnessed 1 by a crowd which overflowed the building. The bride was given away by her fathe.r. She carried a dainty bouquet of pale pink roses and maidenhair fern. She wore a frock of pink georgette, headed in crystal, with three godets of georgette. She wore a string of pale pink pearls, a. present from the bridegroom. Her veil of fine net, worked with silver roses, was arranged with a coronet of pearls, silver lace and orange blossom. She was supported hv her sister, Aliss Rita Whiting. of New Plymouth, who wore a frock of pale green georgette, and' Miss Lila Brady, of Wellington, who wore a frock of lavender and silver lace. The bridesmaids wore bands of silver leav e s as head-dresses, and 1 carried bouquets to match their frocks. The duties l of best man and igroomsman were performed by Air K. Pennington and Air C. Whiting respectively. Following the ceremony many guests were received by the bride’s parents at Bocock’s dining .rooms, which were suitably decorated. Airs Whiti.ng wore a grey ensemble suit and blue hat. Airs Frethey wais in a lavender frock and h’ack and gold hat. After the reception the bride and bridegroom left by motor for the south, the bride wearing a cinnamon frock and hat to match.
