A Tost of the sawmills in the Ohakune district are closing for a fortnight at Easter, instead of the customary four days, in view of the present unsettled condition,s of the .sawintiUing (industry. FT RE AT OHAKUNE. OHAKUNE, March 30. Sargeant’s garage. Ohakune, was totally destroyed bv fire at about 1.30 this morning. Seven cars, including two unsold ones, one “motor lorry, and two motor-bicvcles were destroyed. The fire brigade effected a good save of the adioinine buildings, thus averting a serious,catastrophe. The insurances on cars and buildings are not at present nvn ilnble.
