RUGBY.
TOKAORA CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Tokaora Football Club, which was held in the schoolroom, was well attended, Mr Silver Thrush presiding. A satisfactory report on the year’s work was submitted by the chairman and adopted. Mr John Finlay was elected patron and Mr S. Thrush president, together with nine vi^e-presidents.
ATHLETIC CLUB. Jut a meeting of the committee of the Athletici Club, hold last night, several matters in connection with the Rugby Union annual meeting were dealt with. Owing to Dr. Sinclair’s absence front Hawera, Mr. A. \V. Lawn was appointed a deegate. It was decided to ,play a match against Eitluam at Hawera prior to the commencement of the competition and also to endeavour to arrange for a- junior match against Okaiawa as* a curtainraiser.' April 17 was mentioned as the probable date of games. Messrs Gordon Steel and Owens were elected members.
A third grade , team will he entered ] this year. Intending players should hand in their names to Mr. Hunt or '
the secretary as soon as possible. Jt was decided to vote £1 Is to the Rose Fund.
